Palomar Medical Center (PMC) has earned four consecutive gold awards from the AHA in recognition of meeting or exceeding the national standards of Get With the Guidelines. PMC is the only hospital in San Diego County to receive the Sustained Performance Achievement Award for 48 consectutive months of strict adherence to performance measures for coronary artery disease (CAD) patients. Additionally, PMC and Pomerado Hospital have each earned a gold award for 24 consecutive months of excellence in caring for heart failure patients. Pomerado Hospital has also earned two 12-month Performance Achievement Awards for the treatment of coronary artery disease.
